International Relations
Students majoring in International Relations acquire the following professional competencies, knowledge and skills upon graduation:
- Can identify the causes of the processes taking place in the modern system of international relations, analyze the interaction of states, unions, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations.
- Comparative study of political systems of different countries (America, Europe, Asia and Africa) identifies the use and distribution of political power, common and different features between political manifestations, the relationship between the legislature and the executive, existing political regimes, central and local governments analyzes the relations between, political parties, political processes and can determine the role of individuals, political groups and elites in the implementation of political governance.
- Analyzes the nature, mechanism, basic principles, priorities, directions of foreign policy, bilateral relations of different states in political, military, diplomatic, economic and cultural spheres, relations with international organizations and the impact on the system of international relations.
- Knows the formation of modern diplomacy, goals and objectives, the main directions of development, structure and mechanisms, is able to implement the rules of protocol and etiquette, prepare diplomatic documents.
