Social work
Students majoring in "Social Work" acquire the following professional competencies, knowledge and skills upon graduation:
- Knows the current trends in the development of basic theories and concepts of social work, its characteristics and subject as a field of science.
- Understands the features of social work with people of different age groups and is able to apply it.
- Knows the methodological aspects of the study of social groups, the psychological issues of managing intergroup relations.
- Able to organize work with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities, prepare and conduct research to identify the characteristics of social problems, collect information using various programs and then analyze this information.
- Develops an action plan to influence human behavior. Knows the features of personality formation at different ages.
- Able to prepare and evaluate social projects, determine and calculate social assistance and benefits in accordance with the criteria.
- Knows the principles, rules and methods of management of the social assistance agency, is able to work with people with physical and mental disabilities.
- Can use knowledge of the effects of pressure, discrimination and historical trauma on the client group to guide the development of socially just planning and interventions, ethical rationale strategies for principled decision-making, effective communication and collaboration with the client to formulate clear and rational goals in the assistance process manages
- Able to apply the concepts of social, economic and environmental justice to protect human rights at the individual and systemic levels. The high-risk therapeutic group facilitates the work through supervision, knows the activities of life in emergencies, methods of preparation for civil defense training.
