This course examines the principles, development, and management of ecotourism, a form of responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment, supports local communities, and involves interpretation and education. Students will explore the ecological, economic, and cultural dimensions of ecotourism, analyze global and local case studies, and develop skills for planning and evaluating ecotourism projects.
